Advanced Bloodstain Pattern Analysis 2.0 (40-Hours)
This five day intensive course is designed for those continuing their education and training in bloodstain pattern analysis. Prior to course attendance, participants will required to complete 20-hours of preparation including a written review on a summited paper and written analysis of 4 high speed photo's in addition to 40- hours of off-site activities. The course will emphasize necessity of utilizing a consistent, scientifically based approach for the entire analysis which is the foundation of reliable methods. The course will build upon previously introduced skills and introduce students to additional concepts essential for their continued development as bloodstain pattern analysts. The culmination of the course will be the creation of a scientifically based bloodstain pattern analysis report encompassing all concepts and skills.
The course is designed for individuals with basic and advanced training in bloodstain pattern analysis.

Who is Jeremiah Morris?
Jeremiah (Jeremy) Morris is a forensic scientist supervisor at the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office Criminalistics Laboratory in Kansas and is the Technical Leader in Bloodstain Pattern Analysis (BPA). He has been performing casework examinations since 2005 and is a court-qualified expert in BPA. Jeremy has given presentations and taught workshops on in BPA for over fifteen years at forensic laboratories and professional organizations across the United States. His topics included cognitive bias issues related to BPA, fluid dynamics, bloodstains on textiles, sources of error in bloodstain conclusions, and the methodology of BPA. He is a Distinguished Member of the International Association of Bloodstain Pattern Analysts and is a Certified Bloodstain Pattern Analyst through the International Association for Identification. He was previously a member of the Bloodstain Pattern Analysis subcommittee in the Organization of Scientific Area Committees (OSAC) for Forensic Science, the Scientific Working Group on Bloodstain Pattern Analysis (SWGSTAIN), and the Netherlands Register of Court Experts (NRGD) Advisory Committee of Standardization of Bloodstain Pattern Analysis. In OSAC and SWGSTAIN, he was assigned to the Taxonomy and Terminology task groups. Jeremy is a past Editor of the Journal of Bloodstain Pattern Analysis through the IABPA.

Pre-Requisites:
Successful completion of a Advanced Bloodstain Pattern Analysis course meeting the requirements of the IAI Advanced course and field experience.
Pre-Assignments:
Prior to course attendance, participants will required to complete 20-hours of preparation including a written review on a summited paper and written analysis of 4 high speed photo's.

Maximum of 12 participants.
What to bring to the course?
Participants are advised to bring seasonally appropriate clothing.
We also encourage to bring a digital camera which could be very helpful if you wish to document any of your experiments.
Assessment Standards/Certification:
A certificate will be issued for successful completion of a written assessment of the course requirements.

Course duration, date, location & fee:
The length of the course is 40-hours of instruction. The course will be conducted Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at Loci Forensics Training Institute, Nieuw-Vennep, the Netherlands.
The course will be held on Monday the 24th of May 2027 - Friday the 28th of May 2027.
This course has a price of € 1695.00 (exclusive 21% VAT) per participant .
